Don Grusin
Don Grusin is a Grammy Award winning pianist / keyboardist, composer,
producer, arranger, and songwriter of contemporary jazz and world music. He
was introduced to the music business in the 70’s when he was invited to play
and record with Quincy Jones in the US and Japan.

He has recorded many CDs which you may read about in his discography and

Don was raised in Colorado, graduated from the University of Colorado with a
Master’s degree in economics. He taught as a Fulbright Economics Professor
in Mexico, and at Foothill College in California. In 2006 he received the
Norlin Distinguished Achievement Award from CU.

Don Grusin writes and records original music at Bad Dog Music studio in
Venice, California, for his own projects and other US and
international artists. He teaches master classes in composition,
improvisation and social issues at colleges and universities
worldwide. This year, he is also producing and recording CDs with the new
Brazilian artists Renato Braz and Antonio Villeroy and is just now
releasing his latest solo piano and loops Piano in Venice.
Release scheduled for September.
